Generation Digitale GmbH & Co. KG is aware of the importance of protecting personal data. In this privacy policy, we would like to inform you how we store and/or process your personal data while using the vimote app.


Personal data and use thereof
Personal data are to be understood as information such as your name and email address. Personal data shall only be collected, stored and processed or transmitted by us to the extent and for the purpose permitted by law or for which you have given your consent.

In particular, your personal data shall only be used for advertising purposes if you have expressly given consent for us to do so. Transmission of personal data to government institutions and authorities entitled to receive such information will occur exclusively within the framework of the relevant laws or if we are obliged to do so by court order.

Application and log files
You will be communicating with our servers over the Internet when using the vimote app. Our servers use information to generate a session and collect protocol information, so-called log files, within the scope of such usage. Recorded log files do not contain any personal data. In particular, IP addresses are anonymised by MD5 hashing.

We only use log files for statistical purposes and to analyse errors.

Vimote may, in certain cases, temporarily store the transferred video and thumbnail while such are being used in order to facilitate broadcast. If the video and data are saved, these data shall automatically be deleted as soon as "another video is selected", the "app is closed" or the "view session ends". Videos and thumbnails will not be reused by vimote.

Web Analytics

The app does not use any web analytics software.

Data processing by the app store
To be able to acquire and install the vimote app, you may have to conclude a user agreement with a third party supplier such as iTunes SARL or Google, Inc. (hereinafter "third party supplier") concerning accessing a portal or online shop of the respective third party supplier. We are not party to such an agreement and have no influence on any data processing undertaken by the third party supplier. The type of data and the manner in which such is processed by the third party supplier in the course of portal registration can be found in the privacy policy of the respective third party supplier.

Information, withdrawal, correction, deletion and blocking
You are entitled to obtain information about data stored on your person at any time without giving reasons. You are also entitled to correct incorrect data and block and delete your personal data as long as there is no legal obligation to retain the data.
